Finishing up.
Well, last night was the final Impact Gathering of the semester. And what a night it was — completely designed by the student leaders of CrossSeekers Campus Ministry! It was a great end to the semester, though we’re not quite done yet.
We’ve got several events this weekend and one big one next week (yes, during finals week).
First up is Friday night’s service opportunity at The Underground, a concert event for youth in the area. They bring in bands and let them play to provide a safe environment for young people to come and hang out on a Friday night. They can use all the help they can get. As a bonus, you get to hear some local bands jam out for free!
Saturday night, Brodie and Becky are hosting a Gamenight at their apartment. We’ll have plenty of games, and might even stage a rematch of Battle of the Sexes, which the fellas dominated (yes, ladies—dominated!) in the previous matchup. So come out and have a blast at the Smith’s apartment starting at 7.
Sunday at about noon, The Journey is hosting another free lunch for college students. It’s a great place to come and enjoy a free meal with hungry students just like you. Come for worship at 11 a.m. or just pop in for lunch at about noon. Your stomach will be glad you did.
Final-ly (bad pun intended), next Wednesday night, CrossSeekers will be hosting its semesterly bash affectionately referred to as The Finals Week Study Break. Complete with free food, table games, cards, board games, video games and maybe even movies, this is an event to get a breather from the pressures of a week of studying and tests. It’s absolutely FREE and tons of fun. So bring your friends and come on out to The Journey on Wednesday night starting at 7 p.m.
If you’ve got questions, we’ve got answers, so don’t feel bad about sending a text or an e-mail to find out more info about what’s going on and ways you can plug in.
See you around.
Brodie and Becky
