Welcome to and back to WCU! It’s good to have you on campus. West Chester can be pretty quiet during the summer months, so it’s always a change of pace when the students return to classes.

Many of you are settling in to the dorms or the really nice suites they’ve just opened up this year. Count your blessings if you’re in Allegheny and Brandywine. Pretty cush.

So, classes start soon. Hope you’re ready! As the semester begins, we’ve got some fun things in store for you that you’ll want to jot down in your planner or Google calendar.

Wednesday evening (September 2), we’re planning to grill on the Goshen Lawn. Burgers, dogs, chips, drinks and maybe even some frozen treats for anyone who wants to stop by and meet the students and staff of CrossSeekers Campus Ministry. We’re planning to kick things off at about 6 p.m., so come out and enjoy a good time with new friends. (Our Wednesday night gatherings typically take place in GOSHEN 108A at 7:30 p.m.)

The next night (Thursday, Sept. 3), we’re hosting a pool party for all you freshmen who want to get away and enjoy a dip in the pool. We need you to sign up for this, so come to the cookout on Wednesday and sign up or send an e-mail to us at brodie@crossseekerswcu.com.

Then on Saturday, we want to serve the community by helping out a neighbor in need. Bring your work clothes, and we’ll all chip in to do as much work as we can at a house just down Price St. If you’re interested, we’ll need to hear from you as well to have enough food prepared for everyone.

So enjoy your first few days at WCU for the Fall 09 semester and stop in and say hello to CrossSeekers Campus Ministry.

It’s that time of year again. It’s time to pack up your stuff and head off to campus. For some of you, it’s the first time through this transition. For others, it’s become normal operating procedure.

As the Fall semester approaches, we want you to know that CrossSeekers Campus Ministry is here to help you in any way we can. Need help lifting your stuff up seemingly countless flights of stairs? We’re all over that. Need to know where to go to get the best burger in West Chester? We’ve got you covered? Want to figure out which bookstore you should get your textbooks from? No problem.
