About
So you want to know who we are?
Well, that’s a good question and we’re glad you asked! We are a campus ministry at West Chester University that seeks to engage students with the message of Jesus Christ, equip them to serve and share the message with other, and mobilize them to take that message to those throughout the country and around the world who have not trusted in Jesus Christ as their savior.
2 Corinthians 5:14-15 says: “For the love of Christ controls us, because we have concluded this: that One (Jesus) has died for all, and therefore, all have died; and He died for all, that those who live might no longer live for themselves but for Him who for their sake died and was raised.”
We understand this as a two part opportunity of “knowing Christ and making Christ known.” We know and understand what Christ has done and that knowledge motivates and mobilizes us to reach this campus community (and even the world) with the message of Jesus Christ and the salvation that comes only through Him.
The “knowing Christ” piece comes in the form of discipleship and the active studying of God’s Word individually and corporately. We grow and learn together by digging into the Bible and applying its truths to our lives..
The “making Christ known” piece develops in evangelism and missions. We are not aiming to be a stagnant group on campus. We don’t want to be a club. Rather, we seek to engage the campus with the good news of Jesus Christ and even travel around the world, if necessary, to advance the gospel.
So what are we about? Put simply, we’re about Jesus Christ and about spreading His fame across the campus, across the community and around the world.
CrossSeekers Campus Ministry is part of a larger network of ministries that work on campuses across the nation known as Baptist Collegiate Ministies (hence the BCM in wcubcm), and has been active at WCU for nearly 15 years. It is our joy that you have taken a moment to look into us, and our hope that you will engage in the discussion that is brought to the campus by the students who are a part of this organization.
